Sonas is a 25ft Folkboat carvel built by Parham's of Emsworth around 1960 in Mahogany planking on oak frames. Sheathed marine ply decks. I have owned her for 5 years, before that she was renovated by her previous owner who was a boatbuilder. Currently on the hard in Falmouth. I sailed her from Ullapool on the west coast of Scotland to Falmouth in Spring 2021. I am comfortable saying that she can handle a whole host of tricky conditions.

I have owned Lady Anne for 30 years, sailing on the Clyde and west coast of Scotland. She is very strongly built, I think of pitch pine on oak. She was sheathed with Ferro when I bought her and I subsequently epoxy sheathed the deck in about 2000. She has an external cast iron Ballast keel and the wooden keel is backed up with a steel hog. She is very, stiff, stable and a pleasure to sail. the engine is a Coventry Victor single cylinder diesel of about 9 hp turning a 3 bladed prop. the engine is hand start which has always suited me as the engine is easy to start and reliable.
