Some of these such as a holding tank, extendable bimini shade and solar panel are for Mediterranean sailing, and others such as self tailing winches and reefing lines led aft to the cockpit make her suitable for single handing. She was chosen as the ideal design in that size category for a single handed cruise to the Medterranean in 2011/12 via Biscay, Gibralter and Malta,a journey for which she proved more than adequate. 'Isobar' is a truly well presented Cutlass 27 that featured in a Motorboat and Yachting article in November 2006. She is an immensely well maintained boat that has been lightly cruised in British waters, as well as in Scandinavia, in recent years. Built to Lloyds Certification. She was refurbished and rebuilt from the keel up in Sweden between 1991 and 2001. Full service from then until present day. She is very much worth coming to see in person. A lovely yacht that will not be up for sale for long.

The accommodation includes a double forecabin, separate heads and galley areas. The cockpit has a feeling of security, the mast is stepped to a tabernacle and therefore easier to lower and raise and the foredeck has plenty of room for anchoring and handling sails.... read more

The Cutlass 27 was designed by Eric White of Marcon and Alan Hill, one of the pioneers of GRP yacht design, who was responsible for a wide range of successful designs including the Trident 24, Sabre 27 and Moody Halberdier. The first Cutlass 27s were built in the late 1960s and the boat remained in production until around the mid-1980s - approximately 200 are believed to have been built.

The Cutlass 27 design is based on the Folkboat and they have the same sea-keeping qualities. They are often club raced as this one was; hence the fairly spartan interior. She has been owned by the same owner since 1976. There a lots of sails some as new as 2006. The 2007 Beta 2- Cylinder engine looks in good order and has been regularly serviced. The exterior of the boat has also been recently repainted, giving a smart finish. These boat details are subject to contract. Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
