Go to Red (GBR 8689R) has been setup to race under IRC. The boat under went a refit in 2014 - 15 to make her competitive under the IRC rating system. She rates 1.054 using non overlapping head sails, a larger kite than under the Mumm 36 one design rules and a bowsprit to fly a Code zero and A-Sail from.
The boat has the original rig with the running back stays giving you all the controls you need to ensure boat is always balanced and fast regardless of the wind strength.

Built in 1994 the boat underwent a major refit in 2014 - 15 with only the mast boom and spinnaker pole remaining as is. Every fitting was removed and either refurbished or replaced making a classic racer look near new again. Work carried out included :-

The Mumm 36 has 6 berths at the rear, built for racing they are more practical than comfortable. We have regularly slept 6 people on the boat with everyone sleeping well after a hards day racing and a few rums.
Foam core with epoxy outer skin, the boat was dried out sanded and resprayed in 2015.
Yanmar GM20 - 93 16HP with sail drive. Engine has been regularly serviced with new ring gears and starter motors installed in 2019. The sail drive seal have been fully replaced as have the engine mounting bolt (2018).
Original one design mast, boom and pole with a stainless steal bowsprit added in 2016.

We are intending to use the majority of the current safety equipment on our new boat, we are open to negotiation on any equipment once a sail is agree, life rafts, mounts, off shore grab bag flairs and safety lines have all been fitted and used while racing.
