Moody 36CC Shoal Keel. “May Breeze” is a fine example of one of the best yachts produced by Marine Projects, for Moody. Built to an exceptionally high standard of finish in 1997, she is a pleasure and a joy under sail. The 40 HP Volvo engine is reliable and powerful and more than adequate for fast passage making, or manoeuvring. The centre cockpit provides a safe and dry environment when under way, and the accommodation, layout and equipment are ideal for long term cruising. In 2017and 2018 we undertook two month cruises to the Channel Islands and North and South Brittany France.
The Bill Dixon designed Moody 36 is a fine sea boat and offers an excellent level of accommodation. This smart looking example has been maintained with the usual replacement of the seal on the leg, standing rigging, running rigging, gas regulator.
The aft cabin is sumptuous for her size and offers a large double walk around island berth with access to a spacious and well designed ensuite heads and shower room.
There is also a self contained single berth passage cabin, a forward double cabin, good sized saloon with an option to convert to a double and single berth, a decent sized chart table and an excellent and secure galley with twin sinks and corian (or similar) worktops.
Easily handled by two, or even short handed, she has a slab reefing mainsail with lines led aft and a secure center cockpit with the main sheet behind the helmsman and the genoa sheets easily to hand.
