Description

‘Borka’ is a well kept Shrimper 21, built 2016, two owners since new and kept and sailed on Chichester Harbour. The Shrimper 21 is a classic style modern boat, giving a great balance between comfort down below and small-boat handling on deck.

Borka is currently ashore at Bosham, where her wooden mast has been professionally overhauled and given a hardwood pad to stand on, protecting it from dampness on the deck (if looking at others, check the state of the foot of the mast..). She also had a new bowsprit this winter and other softwood elements overhauled.

Navigation equipment consists of a Garmin combined chart-plotter and depth sounder - this sits on a purpose built platform that allows it to be stowed below decks when the boat is left closed up. Below the waterline, Borka benefits from copper-coat antifouling.

Her first owner kept her in Chichester Harbour and since buying her in 2019, we have mostly day-sailed on the harbour, enjoying overnight stays at anchor at East Head, as well as occasional visits to marinas within the harbour. During the summer, we've kept her on a swinging mooring at Bosham, wintering ashore at Bosham Yacht Company.
