Ramsey Isle of Man UK
36'7" with 10' bowsprit, Iroko on oak Colin Archer copy. Hull built in Norway in late 1960's and then transported to Cornwall where the owner spent the next 20 years painstakingly fitting her out. Unfortunately he passed away before completion. She was finished in a reputable yard in the Hamble.
All copper and bronze fastened on massive paired oak frames.
Beta Marine 50Hp engine new in 2012 regularly serviced. Full set of sails.
6 birth. 6'6" headroom in cabin.
Bought from Woodenships in 2016 following full survey. More information from when last sold here https://woodenships.co.uk/sailing-yacht/colin-archer-gaff-ketch/ Insurance survey at the time valued her between £52,000 and £71,000. Owner sailed her back from Brittany to her current berth in Ramsey, Isle of Man.
Lots of work and maintenance in last 2 years including fitting a Salamanda Hobbit stove with indirect air drawing from bilges and granite surround. Solar panels with MPPT controller.
There are 2 small areas of soft wood in the planking of the upper hull side. This would not be a big job for someone who knows what they are doing.
Used as a live-aboard for the last 2 years. However, owner married in July and now moving onto terraferma. Priced to sell. Will consider sensible offers.
