The boat was delivered from Brødrene Aa AS in Hyen Norway. This is build no. 242 from the yard and the third time they have delivered a boat to Smøla Municipality. The vessel is the third ambulance vessel built according to the new vacuum injected carbon sandwich construction method. The vessel will fulfill a demanding and important function in the healthcare system in the so-called HAST municipalities (Halsa, Aure, Smøla, Tustna). This covers the stretch Kristiansund-Trondheim, a stretch that can at times be very challenging both in terms of water and weather. At 45 knots, the vessel is by far the fastest vessel in its class. In addition, it can offer very good working conditions for both doctor and crew with a sound level of 70 decibels in the sick bay and 64 in the wheelhouse. Doctor / Nurse unit: The sick unit contains all modern equipment for stabilizing, diagnosing and monitoring patients and is also designed as a " doctor's office with waiting room and consultation department. This part has been designed in close collaboration with Helse Nordmøre and Romsdal. The boat also has three rest cabins and a common room for the crew. . Solheim Diesel has delivered a 220-volt generator. The fire extinguishing system is of the Inergen type.
