The boat was delivered from Brødrene Aa AS in Hyen Norway. This is build no. 242 from the yard and the third time they have delivered a boat to Smøla Municipality. The vessel is the third ambulance vessel built according to the new vacuum injected carbon sandwich construction method. The vessel will fulfill a demanding and important function in the healthcare system in the so-called HAST municipalities (Halsa, Aure, Smøla, Tustna). This covers the stretch Kristiansund-Trondheim, a stretch that can at times be very challenging both in terms of water and weather. At 45 knots, the vessel is by far the fastest vessel in its class.
