Khaleesi is a 2001 Ed Dubois design Pilot (Deck) Saloon. A proven Blue Water cruiser she is equally at home in coastal waters as she is on the high seas. Comfortable and sea kindly she is a cutter rigged sloop with a reverse transom, which has a drop down access platform to provide ease of entry into your dinghy or the water when at anchor. Since her current owners purchased her in 2014, she has had all standing rigging renewed, electronic upgrades including chart plotter, radar, autopilot, AIS, VHF Radio, SSB with pactor modem (v4). A s/s arch has been custom built (2016) and holds the 190w solar panel, Silent Wind wind turbine, ISO 6 man Zodiac Liferaft, and has davit lifting points for the dinghy. She has a teak foredeck, running decks and cockpit, three electric winches and three manual winches, and a windlass with remote control for the 30Kg s/s Buegel anchor which comes with 80m of 10mm s/s chain. A second (spare) Fortress anchor is provided together with 30m of galvanised chain. The interior is finished in a light maple veneer over teak providing a light and airy feel. There are three cabins, 2 double and one single, and the dining table has been adapted to convert into a double berth, giving a total number of 7 x berths. The aft en suite master cabin comes with a manual toilet and basin, and a separate shower room. The forward double V berth is spacious with loads of storage, and shares the second heads which is fitted with an electric toilet. The single cabin is amidships and is also where the washing machine is located. The dining area is raised providing you with 360 degrees of viewing from the comfort of the main cabin. Seating cushions are covered in a luxurious royal blue alcantara, and each of the 5 storage compartments behind the seating is fitted with a lee cloth to secure the contents. The galley is equipped with a deep top loading freezer, and a large front loading refrigerator; the cooker/oven is an ENO Gascoigne with 2 burners. A 12v smart TV is also fitted for leisure viewing. Khaleesi is equipped with a Yanmar 4JH3TE 75HP diesel engine which drives a shaft that is fitted with a folding Gori propeller. A Village Marine (Parker Racor) watermaker is installed, alongside a 4.5KvA Fischer Panda generator. The 3 x 140AHr AGM service batteries (replaced 2017), engine battery, generator battery and bow thruster battery are all maintained through the use of an alternator fitted with a smart regulator, or two 40A Sterling battery chargers, and a 20A Mastervolt charger. Khaleesi has two fuel tanks providing a total of 570 litres of fuel, and one 300ltr water tank. Sailing is powered by the 150% hydronet genoa, and the self tacking dacron jib, whilst the fully battened 3-reef main is raised and lowered on a Harken track. Both foresails are fitted with ProFurl furlers. The current owners have made a significant investment in maintaining Khaleesi to a high standard and she is available now.

A reliable and robust engine the Yanmar has proven itself time and again in some of the roughest seas whilst negotiating the ARC and ARC Europe. The alternator has been fitted with a Smart regulator for faster incremental charging, saving time and fuel.
A classic construction for 2001, the hull has a thickness to it that is seldom seen in modern GRP yachts. The bow section has been reinforced with an additional layer of aramid to give it extra protection. The GRP is white in colour.A slight swept bow is complimented by the reverse transom giving better wet surface area when heeled. The bulb fin keel provides great stability for upwind sailing and the displacement of 12.5 tonnes gives a good solid feel to her in all weathers.
Spacious airy and roomy, the 43 Pilot Saloon has two double berths fore and aft, a single cabin amidships and a dining table that has been adapted to convert into a double bunk.
