Norman James is a Southerly 110 (hull #60), built by Northshore in 2006.
These comfortable and well-built boats have a hydraulically lifted keel operated from the helm, reducing the draft to 0.7m and allowing the boat to be beached on the cast iron grounding plate.
She is Southerly Blue over Ivory White with Biscuit gelcoat on non-slip areas. Internal joinery is in solid American Cherry with Indigo upholstery in the saloon and Sand upholstery in the cabins. There is a large double berth in the stern cabin and in the forecabin a single berth to port that converts to a double. The saIoon table can be dropped and converted to make another large double bed.
She’s in great condition and the owners have spent over £11,000 over the last couple of years:
- New TecSew canvas sprayhood, bimini and stackpack,
- complete replacement of sanitary hosing
- a new heat exchanger and exhaust elbow
- a new bow-thruster motor
- replacement depth transducer
- replacement gas piping, etc.
The mainsheet track has been moved to the coach roof by Northshore, freeing up useful space in the cockpit. She is also fitted with stainless steel Simson swivelling davits. In addition to the standard 205 litre water tank, an additional switchable 105 litre tank has been fitted, together with a holding tank for extended voyages.
She was lifted and given a compound, polish and wax in June 2025.
Norman James is located in Chichester Marina.
