Kotick is a much loved yacht that has been maintained to a high standard and kept ashore every winter on a purpose-built cradle. She has had many upgrades over the years including new sails (full battened loose foot mainsail), spray hood and dodgers.
In the past 5 years the present owners have installed:
• New Beta 14hp engine (installed 2017, 300 engine run hrs)
• Complete replacement of all the upholstery (blue) (2015)
• New 12volt/240volt refrigerator (2017)
• VHF radio and masthead wind speed / direction meter (2020)
• Full in-mast rewiring (2020)
• A 240volt circuit with consumer unit installed to run the refrigerator and electrical appliances when connected to shore power (2017)
• A solar panel installed on the companionway hatch that keeps the batteries topped up (2017)
Kotick is currently lying afloat in Brightlingsea, Essex. She is sold ready to sail away, with all fenders, warps, sheets etc. including purpose-built cradle for laying up.

The Parker 27 is a modified version of the Super Seal 26 which was originally designed by Ron Holland from whom the mould was sold to Parker Yachts (Poole). It is a fast, lift keel cruiser racer that has excellent sailing performance (particularly upwind), and the ability to use a drying mooring.
The Keel box of the Parker 27 is at the centre of the saloon, but the yacht still manages to boast 5 berths, head and galley.

The hull and deck are GRP mouldings supported by the internal framing and joinery. The lifting keel is operated from the cockpit by means of a cabin top winch arrangement.
The cockpit is aft with the rudder mounted on the transom. The cockpit sole and seats are laid with a teak-effect covering. There is a large locker to port. The deck perimeter is protected by an aluminium alloy toerail and stainless steel pulpit and pushpits with aluminium alloy stanchions and stainless steel plastic coated guardwires. Vetus fore- and saloon hatches are fitted. There are two ventilators in the coachroof deck and two handrails fitted externally.
A stainless steel bow roller is fitted forward. A 20lb CQR anchor and 8mm chain are carried in the anchor locker .
Alloy mooring cleats and fairleads are fitted forward, aft and midships.
There are 2 main sails, 2 genoas and 1 blade, 1 spinnaker including spinnaker pole and a whisker pole for poling out the genoa. The sails are all in good condition.
The saloon is accessed from the cockpit through the companionway. The galley area is to port with a Plastimo Neptune 2000 cooker (2 burners + grill) fitted. A quarter berth is to starboard.
A wooden chart table is fitted over the starboard berth that can re-locate midships and double as a saloon table.
The forward cabin consists of the standard V berth arrangement.
A sea toilet (replaced in 2020) is fitted in the WC compartment to starboard of the keel box.
A Beta 14hp twin cylinder diesel was installed in 2017, operated by a single lever control. It is connected by direct shaft and 2 blade Flexifold folding prop to maximise speed through the water under sail.
Fuel is carried in the stainless steel tank in the cockpit locker. Electrical The electrical installation consists of 12v starter & alternator. 2 x 12v batteries.

The fractional rigged Z-spars aluminium alloy, single-spreader mast is deck stepped. The halyards are internal. The age of the stainless steel standing rigging is unknown; bronze bodied rigging screws are fitted. A Rotostay IV headsail roller is fitted. The rigging connects to stainless steel shroud plates. Two Enkes 18 self-tailing sheet winches are on the cockpit coaming. 3 winches and 8 rope clutches are fitted on the coachroof to handle the mast lines - which are all led aft.
The mainsail is white polyester by Hyde Sails and in good condition. It is accommodated in a stack-pack with lazyjacks. The mainsheet is anchored over the sliding hatch but led to the aft end of the boom and controlled from the cockpit. There are alloy genoa sheet tracks on deck as well as similar tracks for the blade jib sheets.
