This is a rare opportunity to purchase an Oyster 495. With only 36 of the Oyster 495’s ever made, these sailing yachts rarely come onto the market. The 495 was designed by Rob Humphreys and the Oyster team. This being the last hull and fittings for sale. Mechanically, the vessel is fitted with a Perkins 135hp, 6 cylinder, diesel engine and a ZF 2:1 ratio gearbox. Aquadrive on 50mm shaft with a 3 bladed Max Prop and rope cutter. Fitted bow thruster with a twin screw design which is fully retractable. 6 x 280amp hour gel cells in stainless steel carrier frame, 24 volt Victron battery charger, 240 volt shore power, Beta marine 13.5KW 3 phase generator.
The vessel is currently fitted internally with the bulkheads in marine ply with water tight compartments, the deck below the waterline is insulated, giant stainless steel keel plates fitted by the owner, chain plate beams fitted, plumbing for water system fitted, main sliding hatch and deck hatches fitted, new Seldon spar never stepped all fitted with the lights, runners and tracks, hull windows new in boxes, mast ring and heal fitting fitted to the bilge, steering binnacle and instruments. Other extra’s include: stainless steel drinking water tank, Seagull water filter with tap, dishwasher, washing machine, with many, many more extra parts and components included within the sale.
A new owner has the option of purchasing the vessel as she can currently be viewed, or purchasing the vessel and working with the current owner who is a highly regarded ship builder to complete the interior fit out to the new owners custom specification (subject to an agreed price). Please view sailing yacht ‘Cora Jean’ on our website so you can view the quality of the build and interior fit out that was completed by the same owner and could be completed on this vessel.

BUYERS & SELLERS
When you buy a boat from us you pay all monies in to our company clients trust account which means that the buyers and sellers money is protected. This is the same account that solicitors set up for house sales .This money does not belong to the company it belongs to the buyer until the sale is complete and then we pay the seller from the company clients trust account. We cannot release the money from the Clients Trust Account to the seller until the vessel has been accepted and handed over to the buyer because if there was a fault with the vessel and the buyer refused to accept it and wanted their money back we could not do this because the seller would of already had the money. This could become a very costly and messy problem for all parties.
This money never enters our company current account. This also means that we cannot use customers money for other purchases/reasons. If at any point the company went bust then the buyers/sellers money is safe and it would go back to the rightful owner of the money.
We have had this company clients trust account set up from day one to protect our customers money. This account is a secure holding account. We pay the seller monies due from this account when the buyer has signed to accept the vessel. Payment is made from this account to the seller by cheque from the clients Trust Account which is protected guaranteed funds.
