Potter Heigham Norfolk UK
Vera May, a Norfolk Gypsy number 72 built in 1996. Lying on her mooring at Potter Heigham, Norfolk Broads, where she has been for the past six years being sailed extensively by her present owner and his wife in the Northern and southern broads.
Similar to the Cornish Shrimper but built locally in Norfolk. A traditionally styled cruising yacht offering low maintenance with a seaworthy design ideal for exploring the shallow waters of the east coast and beyond. With the addition of a road trailer (not included in the sale) she would also be well suited to trailer sailing, and her shallow draft with keel up and bilge runners enable her to be beached or kept on a drying mooring without excessive heel. She has a large and deep cockpit and a compact but very functional cabin, well equipped for two with instruments and ample space for chart work.
Over the winter of 2017/2018 she had a comprehensive £7,000 service at the Neil Thompson boatyard. She has an extensive inventory as listed below.
