Great Coastal Cruiser and Liveaboard, Offshore passages no problem
'Sea Laughter 2' is a spacious 45' Motor Sailor, built in 1960 by Miller&Sons in Fife to fishing vessel standards. She has been commissioned as a pleasure yacht, with extra ballast keel for sailing. Initially rigged as a sloop, she has now been re-rigged as a ketch and has remarkable sailing abilities. Originally built from Pitch Pine on Oak Frames, large sections of the topsides have been re-planked with Teak in 2008. Substantial structural repairs to the stern and deck in 2018/19.

Spacious acommodation comprises an aft cabin with double bunk or two single berths, midship cabin with three single berths, and foc's'le with a double and a single berth. Two additional berths can be accommodated in the deck house if required. Large deck house with table and comfortable seating for 6 persons. The galley features a Dickinson Atlantic diesel cook stove with oven, which also acts as a heater. The stove features a hot water coil, which is currently not connected. Two toilets with Jabsco manual toilets, one with cold water shower (could be replumbed for hot water), Eberspaecher warn air heating system provides comfort underr deck, if the diesel stove is not in use. Chart table and locker in mid-ship cabin. Traditional design, with plenty of dark wood and cosy layout. Very social space, with lots of room to spread about.
Pitch Pine on Oak Frames, topsides partially re-planked with Teak in 2008, substantial repairs to stern section in 2018/19, including replacement of deck beams, stringer and beam shelf sections with Iroko, new deck at stern and walkways (Iroko on marine ply), new railing, new stern post, and more.
Caulking checked and replaced where necessary in 2018/19, keel bolts visually inspected and partially reinforced in 2018/19.
Old teak decking on aft cabin roof replaced with epoxy based glass fibre cover in 2020.
