Great starter boat. Easily handled single-handed. Very manoeuvrable. Low price and cheap to run (moors on the mud for ~£100 a year, if you are on a budget).

Electrical: DSC VHF hooked up to GPS and navtex. Depth and speed. 2 batteries, charged by Vetus wind gen. Energy-efficient LED interior & nav lights (really bright!). New starter
Sails: New main and cover, roller reefing headsail. Choice of jib or genoa with pole.
Garmin GPS with Solent coat and buoys mapped, depth and log with depth alarm. Nice and simple kit, very easy to use
