"Saso" is a late Jeremy Rogers Contessa 26 built in Lymington in 1977. She's been beautifully maintained and represents an excellent example of this iconic and beautiful design. She has been in our hands for 10 years and we sell with great regret.

The accomodation is arranged in 2 cabins. The aft cabin is the saloon with 2 x 6'6" semi quarter berths with side lockers, a galley with drawers and locker to port and a basin come chart table to starboard. Below the sole of the saloon are 4 storage lockers in the bilge.
There is a folding table that fits in the saloon for eating below in harbour or at anchor
The forward cabin has 2 x 7' V berths with large storage lockers below.
Both cabins are fully fitted with C&J Marine fitted cushions in blue.
The two cabins are separated by a wet locker to port and the Jabsco manual heads to starboard.
Both cabins can be heated with a Eberspacher Airtronic diesel heater.
While a Whale fresh water manual pump is included, the soft fresh water tank and pipework were removed by the previous owner but are easily reinstated.
The hull is GRP with encapsulated lead ballast. The rudder is constructed of hardwood sheathed in GRP and is transom and keel hung.

The engine is a Beta 10HP marine diesel, installed in December 2000 replacing the original unit. It is fed by a 40l fuel tank. The engine was controlled through an ignition panel which did not have an engine hours counter, but this was replaced with one that did in February 2016. Since then 257 hours have been recorded. It is estimated that total engine hours are in the region of 500 hours.
As recommended in a pre-sale survey (April 2025), both engine start and house batteries have been replaced with new.
The engine has been professionally winterised and serviced annually by Dell Quay Marine.
The Standing rigging was replaced in February 2023.
The main and genoa are Hood Vectron from 2008 but have been regularly service and are in good condition.
There is a cruising shute and associated running rigging.
The genoa is controlled by a Rotostay.
There is a backstay tensioner.
