Click the link in the further details section below to see the full details, many photos and 360 degree virtual tours of this boat. Javelin 30 designed by Fred Parker as a cruiser racer in 1972. Has an excellent reputation for both sea keeping and speed. They were very strongly built by Marcon Marine Construction (UK) Ltd. Similar in many respects to the Contessa 32.
This one was built in the late 1970's and believed to be first commissioned in 1982. She was finished to a high standard and has been well loved and well looked after with an epoxy coat added in 2009.
The engine is a reliable Kubota 13.2 HP installed in 2004 and the standing rigging was renewed in 2007. |

We've thoroughly enjoyed sailing her in the Bristol Channel, but with three kids growing up, and a desire to cruise much more distant destinations we feel we've outgrown her. She's a well mannered and fun boat to sail, with the ability to achieve 18 Knots under power. You can even water-ski behind her. She's fairly economic - around 7 litres per hour at 16 Knots. |
