Our Maru is Version 1 of this type, with all the fine thoughts of Elvstroem himself implemented 1:1 – whereas in this respect or the other later versions fell prey to experiments by altering design features. The first owner and ourselves, however, have professionally improved items of the interior, and we`ve maintained the yacht in a way that she will present herself in top-condition to her new owner! You hardly will meet any symptoms of old age because of the yacht`s very stable substance and our persistent care. The Maru is offered for sale, because we`ll quit sailing – and she promises many years of fine and comfortable voyaging to our successor. The hull is built of dyneema fortified plywood. Thus it does not suffer from any drawbacks found in genuine wood constructions.
Whenever the „Black Molly“ had annually been launched from the enclosed yacht-storage after wintertime, we left for extensive voyages over the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
Being the first owners, we forcefully aligned the yacht`s upgrading with this purpose, after the hull had been delivered by the builder. Our previous longlasting experiences with long-distance sailing (e.g. to Iceland) were very helpful. This is reflected by many important devices of all kinds – individual features of this very well maintained long-distance yacht.
Fine seamanship, security, functionality and a cosy maritime atmosphere of this yacht`s interior fittings (being constructed with the best boat-carpenters` craftsmanship) – these were our guidelines when finishing the “Black Molly”. And all of these are the representative attributes of the yacht and her equipment still today. Our “Black Molly” is fully equipped and ready for long-distance sailing! She will be delivered in a top condition! Please ask for the extensive online-documentation that is available by two clicks. |
