This very nice ETAP 23 has been refurbished and maintained to a very good standard. The boat looks great but it has also had attention where it really matters. The lifting keel mechanism having been fully stripped down and refurbished in 2007. The standing rigging was also replaced in 2007, and at the same time all the mast electrics were rewired. The Engine is virtually new - etc etc. This is a great value boat.
The owner is selling to buy a larger boat probably another ETAP!

LOA: 6.6m / LWL: 5.62m / BEAM: 2.4m / DRAFT: 1.45m keel down
Built in 1979. GRP double skin construction with areas of foam throughout the boat and between the hulls providing unsinkability. White topsides and superstructure with red markings, self draining aft cockpit with tiller steering, lifting keel and 4 berth internal layout with good sitting headroom.

ENGINE: Honda 8HP outboard motor which lies in a cockpit well. 10 litre fuel tank (new 2006). 2 x 12 volt batteries with charging via solar panel. Cruising speed under engine is around 5 knots with a maximum speed of about 6 knots. Fuel capacity 10 litres
ACCOMMODATION: She has 4 berths including 2 V berths in the forepeak and 2 single settee berths.
DOMESTIC EQUIPMENT: Her galley has a gas cooker and also spare meths stove. Various pots and pans. Chemical toilet. Tartan fabric upholstery. Freshwater tanks 4 x 5 litres
SPARS, RIGGING & SAILS Slab reefing mainsail with mainsail cover (mainsail cover renewed, Jeckells Mainmate in 2007). Genoa roller reefing system new in 2006 with furling No 1 Genoa. Roller reefing No 2 Genoa (Jeckells, new 2006). No 1 Jib (self tacking) and spinnaker. All lines led aft to cockpit. Alloy mast and spars and stainless steel standing rigging (standing rigging was renewed in 2005).
DECK EQUIPMENT: Alloy pushpit, pulpit and stanchions, red sprayhood and dodgers, boarding ladder, tiller, spinnaker pole, 2 sheet winches, 2 halyard winches, Compass inflatable dinghy, self tacking gear and self steering gear (not fitted), 15lb plough main anchor with 10m chain and warp (new 2007), 15lb Danforth kedge anchor with chain and warp, various mooring warps and 4 fenders.
ELECTRONICS: New Colour Ploter/sounder, New Auto Helm, Silva compass, NASA echo sounder, Navman DSC VHF radio (new 2006), windvane at masthead (new 2007), Garmin GPS with NASA repeater, radar reflector, clock and barometer, navigation light, steaming light, tri colour masthead light (2007) and anchor light.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Horseshoe lifebuoy, distress flares, 2 fire extinguishers, manual bilge pump.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Road trailer with separate road and launching axles, beaching legs. Gola Ola was purchased by her current owner in 2008 and a survey report was carried out in November 2004. She was purchased as an introduction to cruising by her owner who has now ordered a new boat. All defects in the original 2004 survey have been dealt with and her owner has constantly upgraded all equipment including purchasing a new DSC radio. She is certainly a well equipped example of these popular trailer sailers and capable small cruisers.
