The Halcyon is a sturdy and comfortable little yacht which, although lacking some of the refinements of more modern designs, may well still have considerable appeal to those who do not believe in cramming the maximum number of separate compartments and berths into the minimum overall length. As so often with a boat of this age a little TLC would not go amiss but that aside and you will have a cracking little cruiser.

1972 built by Offshore Yachts, designed by Alan Buchanan, GRP with teak cockpit coaming and cocpit locker lids, long keel, transom hung rudder. Last surveyed 2003, survey is available to study when you view the boat. Not been used in the last 3 years, but kept in good order, has regular maintenance and tlc. Had full registration up to present ownership. Has the original Sabb 8HP diesel, running OK to date. Sails- Main in VGC, spare main good, cruising chute VGC, Roller Genoa with new UV strip -good, Heavy weather jib and working jib to hank on to inner forestay. New tiller, bilge pump, dodgers, Contest 101 compass, Autohelm 800, Nav lights, mainsail cover, 25lb CQR with 180ft of 5/16th inch chain, second anchor and chain, various spare running and standing rigging, stainless steel fuel tank, cockpit speakers, all the odds and ends of bosunry items included and fuel and water containers. Interior has double sink galley with Taylor 030 paraffin oven with seperate stainless steel tank, paraffin lamp,clock and barometer, inclinometer, bell, mirror, all in brass. Copper kettle, interior speakers, Garmin GPS, Nasa navtex pro plus, Nasa DSC VHF, 8 breaker switch panel, 12volt sockets, Battery changeover switch for dual batteries, interior in varnished teak with GRP headlining. Boat is currently on a drying mooring so viewing both afloat and hull inspection possible in same day. A modern classic, she has a charming and cosy interior. |
