Built at the world famous Cheoy Lee boatyard in 1981, this Pilot-House version is built for long distance comfortable cruising in comfort. She underwent an overhaul in 1998 including new Teak Deck and Rigging replaced. Well maintained by her present owner, she has has a recent survey and is in fantastic condition for a yacht of her age.
Lots of history available to purchasers, and located a short sail from the Med, this is a live-aboard dreamboat.

'Caelan of Strangford' was built to Lloyds standards and is a classic blue water yacht. She has crossed oceans and is a sturdy, durable, and classic-looking sailboat
The Clipper 36 is a distinctive-looking vessel she has classic lines and is a real 'head turner' when entering port. Comfortable when cruising coastal, safe and sea-kindly on passage.
The hull shape starts with a tall clipper bow and a deep forefoot. The full keel (with about 5,400 pounds of ballast) gets deeper moving aft, with the maximum draft of 5 well past amidships toward the keel-hung rudder. The stern tucks up well off the water to a wide transom.
The versatile masthead cutter-ketch rigs can carry a variety of sail combinations.
Auxiliary power comes from a single 43-hp BETA diesel engine which was professionally installed 2008.
As one would expect from a blue water cruiser she has a great inventory which includes good navigation equipment.

An innovative Ray Richards built by the earliest Asian yard is a rock solid cruiser with lots of beautiful teak. Cheoy Lee Shipyards of Hong Kong was one of the first molders of fiberglass boats in Asia, constructing sailboats for export to the US in the early 60s. It introduced its first model the Bermuda in 1963. By 1965 it offered 11 different models.
The Cheoy Lee Offshore 41 is a good, stiff offshore cruising boat.
