A classic design with all of the benefits of modern functionality and materials.
This particular example has a host of additional improvements over and above the original design.
Some of the extras could not be incorporated in the original specification because they would have made her too expensive to produce commercially.
A lot of thought and planning has gone into her so as to enable the current owners to travel further afield (namely to the mediterranean and back). She has an upgraded engine and a large holding tank.
For the true enthusiast there is still enough wood to keep them happy.

The Crabber 24 takes the Crabber range well into the offshore cruising market. Her fixed 3’6” draught makes her less of a creak crawler than her little sisters but makes her a serious channel explorer. Cornish Cormorant 12’ 3” ‘Wee Boat’
The Cormorant is an ideal cruising dinghy. It is simple to sail single handed, can be rowed or powered by a small outboard, provides a large amount of storage space in its short length. It was built by Cornish Crabbers, famous for the Cornish Shrimper.
Most of the time whilst sailing you sit very much 'in' the boat. The side decks are wide enough to sit on when required. The whole package feels very solid and safe and is great for day trips.
The hull is a heavy GRP lay-up with a large foredeck, a wooden centreboard and removable centre thwart. The underside is protected by metal strips along the centreline and on the bilge rails. The wooden mast is unstayed and simply drops into a hole in the foredeck. The single sail is set on a wooden boom and gaff. Reefing lines are taken down to the boom.
When we purchased ( wee boat ) she had hardly been used and she is still in excellent condition. There are a few small gel-coat stress cracks on the tighter curves but nothing much. The hull has never been anti-fouled. She has always been garaged since we owned her.
The only reason ( wee boat ) is for sale is that we have recently purchased another boat , a little bit bigger and don’t have the room in garage for both.
