The Catalina 42 combines great accommodation with good sailing performance to make a perfect liveaboard cruiser - capable of bobbing in a bay, quick ocean crossings or a winter onboard in comfort.
This is the shallow-draft version, drawing only 4'11" with a lead wing keel for stiffness. The short keel is particulaly handy as the accompaning shallow rudder makes for worry-free Med mooring - this yacht can park in places on the quay that others can only dream of!
This boat come with a complete liveaboard kit, from pots and pans to the usual array of nav equipment, including SSB. Ready for the new owners to step on and enjoy - and there's great headroom down below for the vertically augmented!

Boat comes ready to sail with sprayhood, dodgers, lazyjack + packaway main and furling system to genoa 150. Combined B&G depth/speed/ distance + Clipper wind instruments + bulkhead mounted Compass along with a large MinnKota Electric Motor.
Boat has the optional Pop Top cabin roof (see photogragh) & waterproof cover, plus a zip-on night cover for added security and extra space at the cabin entrance.
Origo cooker, s/s steel sink. Large leisure battery, large cool box and portable loo.
Boat has 5 berths in an open plan arrangement, including double vee berth in fore peak. The dinette saloon table lowers to form a double bed with a large single quarter berth to starboard.
Boat has blue upholstery & is in very good condition both inside & out. It has been well maintained and when not sailed is stored on its galvanised trailer at Rutland Water.
With its easy lifting keel it is quite easy to launch and retrieve.

Catalina 36 Mk2 built in 1999. Over 2500 of these boats have been built and is still one of the most popular models in the Catalina range. This boat is well equiped and is being sold complete with all its normal inventory that the owner has aboard. Over the last three years she has been used by her owner for holiday periods and then privately chartered to others.
